Redesigning the LG on-the-go meal experience
Over time, on-the-go products for lunch and snack carriers have evolved and consequently there is about a $2.3 billion consumer market. Reports indicate that this market will continue to grow because of factors like:
- rising food prices discouraging waste and creating motivation to store and carry food
- the rise of eco conscious consumers who want to save money (a typical family wastes about $450 on throw aways and creates thousands of pieces of garbage every year)
- the rise of the health conscious consumer
Studying the brand LG, conducting user research, and developing a persona, I saw the opportunity to create a concept product to improve the on-the-go meal experience in this growing market.
